Siobhan grew up with the belief that looking after your skin is important, which is why she shares her Ecology Skincare with her teenage daughter in helping with her hormonal breakouts.
This is Siobhan’s story…
“I am a curious soul and an experimenter so when I found your range of skin care I had to indulge…
I have always maintained a good skin care regimen, including drinking plenty of water, staying fit and active and eating a highly nutritious diet.
I am slightly obsessed with nutrition and podcasts. My food journey began four years ago when a friend told me they quit sugar after watching “That Sugar Movie”. From there I continued to read and learn about various foods and diets and their professed benefits.
My pilates teacher once told me I was a seeker.
I guess I believe if you don’t try new things, you stagnate. And how do you know if you never try?
As for my diet, I have been curious about a carnivore diet for a year or more and have progressed through various diet styles to now find myself doing another experiment to see how I feel on a meat only diet.
I honestly did not think I would be able to achieve this, but for the past week I have eaten nothing but meat (lamb, liver, beef mince, beef heart, rib eye, scotch fillet and my current drool item – t-bone)
I also have a cup of bone broth every morning from a brew I simmer for two days. I drink this with salt added. I have not managed, or actually even tried to give up coffee yet”
What does my skincare regime look like?
“I use Ecology Skincare twice daily and have bought it for my gorgeous daughter who is battling those awful teenage hormones.
I like the way it feels on my skin, it just seems to drink it in.
I could rub a whole tin of that stuff on to my body everyday.

Why did I buy Ecology for my Daughter?
“She is thirteen, hormonal and started her menstrual cycle towards the end of last year. Her beautiful skin has break outs and I wanted to help her.
My mother introduced me to skin care around the same age. Remember Nutrametics? My aunt was a sales person and so we bought cleansers and moisturisers from her. I grew up with a belief that looking after your skin was important.
Unfortunately we are all guilty of judging people by their appearance, and shallow as it may seem… I think people are drawn to other beings who have a healthy glow about them.
I also think that you feel more confident when you look and feel good. I would say Ella’s skin was quite typically teenager pimply.
It was not acne, but plenty of black heads and white heads. Clogged pores.
She has been using the Ecology Moisturiser for about six weeks now. She uses it every night – when she remembers, which is probably a minimum of five nights a week. I would say her skin has definitely improved, although she still breaks out especially when she is pre-menstral.
As you can probably tell, I am quite passionate about taking care of myself and the people around me, and I believe I will continue to remain curious and experiment with my diet as my life progresses.
