Meet Rachael – “I have extremely sensitive skin… and I finally got to stop looking for a new moisturiser every few months”

Rachael’s a mum of 2 with extremely sensitive, reactive skin and a dry skin condition that had her looking for a new moisturiser every few months to try soothe and calm her tight, sore skin.
She was over the disappointment of continual failed products and is so relieved to have found her ‘forever’ moisturisers.
Here’s Rachael’s story…
“I’m a mum of two very busy little ones, work part time from home. Love a good wine and a gorgeous waterfall.
I have extremely sensitive skin, get eczema and I react to vitamin E so was struggling to find a moisturiser that didn’t make my eczema worse.
My skin was very sore and tight and I when it got really bad above my eyes and on my eyelids it made me quite self-conscious.
I’d tried Everything. QV, LaRoche Posay, MooGoo. If it was for sensitive skin I’ve tried it and it all failed.
I love the yellow Soothing Baby Cream and recently tried the hemp one and it was very lovely. It will become my day cream while the yellow is my night or on very dry skin days.
In the two years I have been using it …my skin is now no longer flaky and never looks dry and it feels a bit…bouncier?
Like more nourished and less saggy. Very even skin tone as well.
I use a warm face washer with just water or shower and lightly rub with the water and my fingers, then pat dry and moisturise. Daily Moisturiser with Hemp in the morning, Baby Cream with Calendula at night (some mornings if I feel dry). That’s it.
I finally got to stop looking for a new moisturiser every few months and the constant disappointment when my skin would react.

Our skin cells are like bricks… and in between our skin cells, sits a glue or mortar made up of cholesterol, fatty acids and ceramides.

Grass-fed tallow is a gently rendered fat (like emu oil), but it comes from healthy, grass-fed cows
(so this isn’t for our vegan friends!)
Grass-fed tallow contains the same kinds of fats and oils we have naturally in skin. So it soaks in nicely and helps support skin’s barrier function, keeping allergens and irritants out and moisture in.
…so it helps to calm the look of redness and leave skin looking plump and well hydrated.
Grass-fed tallow also:
- Contains fat soluble vitamins A, D, E & K …all of which are crucial for healthy skin (some of these are also antioxidants)
- Is balanced in omega 3’s and 6’s …both are important for healthy skin and balancing immune function
Not only that, as we get older, our skin produces less of those lipids (the fats and oils) that keep it soft, supple.
