When adventuring to cold places for skiing or coaching outdoor sports, Harriette needed a moisturiser to help soften and hydrate her dry skin, without causing breakouts.
A travel mishap meant she had to borrow a moisturiser when her luggage went missing… and she’s so glad it was an Ecology Moisturiser because she fell in love!
Here’s Harriette’s story…
“I am a 21 year old from Melbourne who loves to go to the gym and play sport. I coach sport for my job at a school and spend a lot of time outside. I love to ski and travel.
I had been shopping around for a good staple night time moisturiser for a few years now, but couldn’t find one that didn’t break me out.
I am actually not sure what caused the breakouts, but I used a lot of generic brands from Aldi or Chemist Warehouse, so I know they were pumped with chemicals.
I try to go organic if I can, which is why I love Ecology 🙂
I found Ecology when my boyfriends mother lent me her moisturiser during an interstate trip to Perth. I was travelling with my boyfriend’s family when my luggage was temporarily misplaced by the airline. I spent half of the trip without my luggage and toiletries.
Kindly, Sally let me use her Ecology Moisturiser and I fell in love with the smell and texture.
My skin gets quite dry, especially when travelling to cold locations, so this moisturiser really helps to lock in the moisture.
It’s all natural and gentle on the skin. It doesn’t break me out. I have sensitive skin, so I love the yellow moisturiser from Ecology.
My skin is so hydrated and glowy now. It’s a great base for makeup too. I just shower and cleanse my face then apply Ecology Moisturiser.”
~ Harriette, loves her Soothing Baby Cream
We are beyond happy for Harriette!
It’s always a win when you find something that can soften and hydrate skin that dries out easily in cold climates
…without causing breakouts!
Now you might be wondering why Harriette’s Soothing Baby Cream works so well for her when other products didn’t?
Our Ecology Creams are handmade with a little known ingredient called grass-fed tallow.
Grass-fed tallow is a gently rendered fat (like emu oil), but it comes from healthy, grass-fed cows
(so this isn’t for our vegan friends!)
Grass-fed tallow might be ‘little known’ now… but everyone from the Aboriginal Australians to our great grandmothers used to use traditional animal fats like tallow, for everything from burns and chafing to blisters and wound healing.
And the reason why grass-fed tallow is good for skin?
- It contains the same kinds of fats and oils found naturally in healthy skin
- It contains fat soluble vitamins A, D, E & K …all of which are crucial for healthy skin (some of these are also antioxidants)
- It’s balanced in omega 3’s and 6’s …both are important for healthy skin
So this means grass-fed tallow can help replace missing lipids (the natural fats and oils) in skin’s outer layer …keeping moisture IN and allergens and irritants OUT.
…and helping to soften dry skin and leave it looking plump and well hydrated.
Harriette likes our Soothing Baby Cream…
Soothing Baby Cream with
Sunflower & Calendula
Rich and gentle
Perfect for baby and toddler or sensitive skin and skin prone to redness and dry skin conditions
*Organic **Grown Pesticide Free ^Free range, Pasture raised, No antibiotics, No added hormones.
We’ve had good feedback from other customers (like Harriette) who’ve used our Soothing Baby Cream and the other two moisturisers in our Breakout Prone Skin Trial Pack (our Revitalising Cream with Macadami and Manuka and Daily Moisturiser with Ylang Ylang) to help balance combination skin and soften dry skin…
The grass-fed tallow and calendula extract in our Soothing Baby Cream help reduce moisture loss and improve skin hydration. Calendula can be helpful for soothing the look of red and easily irritated skin – leaving skin looking and feeling calmer and well hydrated.
The Revitalising Cream is rich and has a simple formulation… it contains only a handful of ingredients, including manuka and kanuka oils which are known to be helpful for breakouts and red and easily irritated skin.
And our Daily Moisturiser with Ylang Ylang is lighter than the other 2 moisturisers. It contains geranium and ylang ylang to help protect against signs of breakouts. Camellia, Kakadu plum and frankincense along with grass-fed tallow soften, smooth and hydrate skin.
Because I know how important it can be to try a ‘trial size’ of something before getting a larger size, we’ve put together Trial Packs of our Ecology Creams.
First time customers can now try a trial of our 10mL mini moisturisers from only $27 (so only $9 per moisturiser) …and get free shipping when you use the code: TRIAL at checkout
and see for yourself the difference an Ecology Moisturiser can make for dry and breakout prone skin
(the 10mL mini’s are a great size! Each one will last a couple of weeks, long enough to see the skin softening and hydrating for yourself)
