AUShampoo bar
I love this product. Have suffered psoriasis sporadically on scalp for some years until I started using this shampoo bar. I also use the conditioner. I have fine and previously bodiless hair which is now bouncy and shiny. Have recommended to family and friends. The charcoal bar is fantastic for grey hair providing highlights and shine. Premature for me but have passed on to friend who loves. Highly recommend. Gotta love natural chemical free products.

Feels nice on my hair. Leaves it feeling soft and manageable. My hair is coloured so find it better to shampoo twice then condition. The bar is very easy to use and I do like the saving of plastic bottles.

I used to have a dry scalp and start losing a lot of hair. I decided to swap to natural shampoo and I saw this shampoo bar. I gave it a try. The result is more than I expected. My hair was so soft and smooth. I lost a lot less hair after washing my hair. It seems I have more hair growth and no more dry scalp. I definitely recommend to my friends and families. What a great product!!

Wow is all I can say! I can't remember when my hair felt and sounded squeeky clean. Not since I was a kid of around 8 and I'm in my 70's now. I just love my shampoo and conditioner bars. I bought this for my hair as it sounded like it was going to be ideal for my type of hair. Unfortunately it hasn’t worked for me. It leaves my hair feeling sticky and dirty. It smells nice, but I can’t use it on my hair

I recently purchased Tasmanian Beer and Honey Bar as I have trouble holding shampoo bottles.. My hair is dry and hard to manage usually. What a difference this experience was. So easy for me to handle the bar and my hair is so soft and yes..easy to manage. Will recomment to family and friends. Maureen

I got the sample to try and I love it! Unfortunately the Tasmanian Beer shampoo wasn't available when I ordered the full size bar, so I've decided to try the Egg and Lemon. Smells delicious, I hope it's a good as the Beer :D
AUAWESOME AUSTRALIAN PRODUCT
I first bought a sample bar of Tasmanian beer shampoo as I'd never used a bar shampoo before and I love it, now since bought a full size bar just knowing it isn't full of chemicals is a real winner for me. I have stopped putting color in my hair for about 18mths now and going grey with pride and I'm finding the shampoo seems to make my grey less intense so to me it's a winner all round. Very happy customer

I was hoping & expecting this natural shampoo would work well on my hair. Unfortunately it didn't suit my hair at all. My hair was dull, lifeless; flat. My hair is fine but I have a bounce & natural wave but this shampoo (Used it with the Tasmanian Beer conditioner) seemed to strip every bit of life from my hair. I'm a 66 yr young woman & I hate to say it but it's the worst shampoo I've ever used. I have been using your moisturizers for years Crystal & love them and was expecting a really good product but not for me.

The herbs, honey, waxes, plant oils, mineral and clay ingredients used in the Beauty and the Bees products have been used by humans for centuries.
Each ingredient has been specifically chosen because it is natural and has a history of benefiting the body is some special way. Beauty and the Bees choose local products as often as they can to support our local industry and to reduce our impact on the environment. In addition organic and certified products are sourced whenever it is possible to do so.
Ingredients include Tasmania’s unique raw, unpasteurised Leatherwood honey, certified organic olive oil, coconut oil, raw castor oil, Leatherwood beeswax, and certified organic and bio dynamic Tasmanian herbs. These fine and pure ingredients leave hair glossy and shiny as well as gently cleanse the hair without stripping your head’s natural oils.

Directions for Use
- Wet your hair thoroughly with warm water.
- Moisten the bar and then rub it directly through your hair from scalp to ends, working up a thick lather with the pads of your fingers (do not use your fingernails)
OR Wet your hands with warm water and lather up by rubbing the bar between your hands. - Work the lather from your hands into your hair using the pads of your fingers (not your fingernails), massaging the scalp and hair roots and cleaning outward towards the ends.
- Rinse thoroughly with warm water until all of the shampoo lather is removed.
- Follow with a conditioner bar – rub the conditioner bar lightly in wet hands (it will not lather) and run hands through hair. Rinse well
Most people report positive results after just 1 – 2 washes.
However, 3 – 4 washes or more may be required to fully remove the silicone build up from commercial shampoos. During this time your hair may feel and look different. We call this FUNKY hair – the transition time as your hair gets used to a natural soap shampoo instead of a detergent.
AND, it has to be said, some people’s hair just does not like shampoo bars, but that is rare…
There are several common factors that can hinder great results, either individually or in combination with each other. These problems are answered in other questions but can include:
- Residue from the synthetic polymers/silicone that commercial shampoos leave in your hair
- Hard water
- Not rinsing properly or not using an acidulated/clarifying rinse after use
- Not using the right bar for your hair
- Poor shampooing technique
- You haven’t allowed enough time for the detox and adjustment phase
Your hair and scalp will take time to “detox” and adjust. Commercial detergent shampoos contain synthetic silicones that make the hair feel slippery and “nice”, but are derived from plastic petroleum derived polymers. These gel-like substances coat the hair and scalp.
In addition, SLS (Sodium Laureth Sulfate, a synthetic foaming agent) also strips away your natural protective conditioning oils (sebum) causing your scalp and hair to become dry. Your dry scalp now tries to compensate by producing more of its natural oil. Excess oil production escalates to compensate for the harsh shampoo and the vicious cycle begins….
By breaking this cycle with a gentle natural SOAP shampoo bar (not detergent) you will no longer have those chemicals stripping away the natural oils and drying out the hair and scalp. But it will take time for your scalp to re-balance its natural oil production. This usually happens quickly, but it can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks and for some even longer. BE PATIENT and you will be rewarded with healthier hair and scalp.
Because shampoo bar soaps do not strip hair in the same way as detergent based shampoos, you may notice your freshly washed wet hair feels quite different to what you may be accustomed to: squeaky, with a slightly rough feel if the cuticle is sticking up. This is perfectly normal, and the Tasmanian Apple Cider & Herb Conditioning Rinse or Apple Silk Clarifying Rinse can be used to smooth the cuticles flat and shiny again. You’ll love how your hair feels after it dries: much softer and shinier.
Remember with a natural Shampoo – IT’S ALL GOOD IN THE END!!!
