Meet Kate – “I love the simple no-fuss approach. No need for multiple steps and multiple products”

Like many of us, Kate a mum of 2 found some skincare brands marketing claims challenging when choosing skincare products.
So she was glad to find Ecology Skincare and a no-fuss, simplified skincare regime, which leaves her skin feeling hydrated and allows her to easily ‘tick the skincare box’ and move on with her day.
Here’s Kate’s story…
“I’m a mum of 2 and a home body. I’m slowly taking steps to be more eco-friendly, to myself and to the environment
I’m a scientist, yet I was confused by the marketing of most skincare brands; the promises they made, the exaggerated claims and the far-from-nature products.
I’d tried lots of different brands of moisturisers, face washers, toners, micellar waters, night creams, day creams, eye creams, the lot!
…but it seemed like money down the drain.
I wanted to try Ecology Skincare because of the simple clear messages attached to the brand and the close-to-nature base of the product. It just makes sense. And the less flashy packaging and marketing is a great green flag!
Before using Ecology products, my skin wasn’t problematic, a tad oily sometimes.
I love the Daily Moisturiser with Hemp and Nerolina. It is absorbed quickly and my skin feels hydrated for 12 hours.
And if my face gets wet later on in the day, there’s no ‘moisturiser run-off’ that can happen with other products that just sit on top of your skin. A tin lasts a long time as a little product goes a long way.

The Ecology Creams are handmade with what used to be a little known – but now trending – ingredient called grass-fed tallow.
Grass-fed tallow is a gently rendered fat (like emu oil), but it comes from healthy, grass-fed cows
(so this isn’t for our vegan friends!)
And the reason why grass-fed tallow is good for skin?
- It contains the same kinds of fats and oils found naturally in healthy skin.
- It contains fat soluble vitamins A, D, E & K …all of which are crucial for healthy skin (some of these are also antioxidants)
- It’s balanced in omega 3’s and 6’s …both are important for healthy skin
So this means grass-fed tallow can help support our skin’s barrier function to keep moisture IN and allergens and irritants OUT.
And it helps soften and smooth skin to leave it looking plump and well hydrated.
Not only that, as we get older our skin produces less of those lipids (the fats and oils) that keep it soft, supple and healthy looking – so grass-fed tallow helps to replace those missing fats and oils.

The Daily Moisturisers contain camellia and frankincense to help soften and smooth skin of all ages. And frankincense is also known for helping to soften the look of scars and fine lines.
The Daily Moisturiser with Ylang Ylang is lighter in texture than our other Ecology Creams. It contains camellia, kakadu plum and frankincense to soft, plump and hydrated looking skin and it has a delightful floral aroma.
And the hemp seed oil in the Daily Moisturiser with Hemp and Nerolina is known for helping to protect dry, tired or dehydrated skin and soften and smooth skin. This moisturiser is also lighter in texture and is helpful for balancing oil on skin and it contains nerolina and the lemon scented tea tree oil which can be helpful for protecting against signs of breakouts.
And the Revitalising Cream is in the middle of our range for richness. And it contains manuka and kanuka oils helpful for reducing the look of redness and breakouts. It has a mild herbal aroma.
