Meet Jane – “My skin feels better and fresher… it makes me feel confident about what I’m doing and who I’m meeting”

With a healthy active lifestyle, 3 small children and a job in real estate… Jane’s Daily Moisturiser is helping to simplify her skincare routine, while still leaving her skin looking fresh and well hydrated… even on those ‘1 minute to do my makeup’ days.

This is Jane’s story…

“My mum used to be in the cosmetics industry and quite high up, so she used to use Estee Lauder or Lancome. That’s what we had in the house, so when I was young, those were the choices.

Of course I didn’t even question it.

For years I used Lancome. I used to have 10 creams for everything which, if think you about it really is a bit ridiculous and not real common sense.

Then when I married my husband (who’s a chiropractor and really savvy with general health), I was challenged… by him and by different friends that I had in my circle at that point.

Actually, I remember a girlfriend who was beautifully natural with everything challenged me and said, “oh Jane, do you actually know what’s in your Lancome products?”

And I was like “no, I’ve never read”

(…where of course now, with everything that I eat and I consume and enjoy, I’m always reading, always asking “what is in it actually?”)

Back then, I was getting to the point of wanting to have children and thinking, “oh gosh, well, even in pregnancy, this matters. What we’re putting on our skin especially does make a huge difference to how we’re actually living”

When I realised that, then it was actually easy to make a change. I did a big 180 on a whole lot of things…

I really wanted to try more natural options for skin-care. Something without all the nasties in it that I could trust.

It was a bit different… natural products are more earthy, you can smell that in the products, especially in [the Ecology] beautiful products, for sure. But, that’s the beauty of them… you know they’re natural, you know they’re not hurting you.

A healthy lifestyle is so important to us as a family.
For us, it starts with our food. We’re currently going no dairy, no sugar…
It’s hard, especially as a mum with three young children, but we’re into the second month and we’re seeing the results of that.
The kids are just heaps brighter, feel better, less lethargic, everything’s good regarding bathroom habits and we’re feeling how we should, which is so key.
And then you can keep the momentum up.

I was always quite lucky with my skin. And I’ve probably been quite blessed, I’ve not really had skin issues.
Maybe a bit oily in the T-zone, things like that. But I certainly do see that my skin is so much better just now using natural products.

I’m loving the Daily Moisturiser! My skin feels better and fresher …really well moisturised and hydrated.
My skin feels great, it really does even when I do have my makeup free days.
…whereas sometimes my skin was a bit dry, with mainstream products.

What does your skincare routine look like now?

So in the morning now, I literally just shower… I don’t scrub or anything, then I use my Daily Moisturiser.
(…my girlfriend who’s in makeup used to say, “Jane, you don’t cleanse in the morning. You let the oil sink in”)

I do exfoliate my face very gently, like once a week, but literally I just cleanse with water of an evening and moisturise very lightly at night,
I find I don’t actually need a lot. And that’s the thing with Ecology, it’s such the minimal amount that you need, which just equates to incredible value. Because it seems to go forever, which is really great.

And I know that if I am looking good… it makes me feel confident about what I’m doing and who I’m meeting.

I’m in sales (in real estate) …so I think it’s really great, knowing that even if it’s like a literal minute that I get to apply my skin care regime and my makeup that I still feel really good and confident.

…and people say all the time, they’ll ask, “what do you use?”
And if I’ve had a good makeup day where I’ve spent more than 30 seconds with a toddler hanging off me doing my makeup before work… it feels nice, because I know then my skin is looking good.

It makes me feel confident that my skin is at it’s best”

We are beyond happy for Jane!

It’s such a massive win when you finally find something that works well and fits in with your ethos on reducing chemical exposure and using natural products

You might be wondering why the Ecology Creams have been so helpful for Jane…

It’s because the Ecology Creams are handmade with a little known ingredient called grass-fed tallow.

Grass-fed tallow is a gently rendered fat (like emu oil), but it comes from healthy, grass-fed cows

(so this isn’t for our vegan friends!)

Grass-fed tallow might be ‘little known’ now… but everyone from the Aboriginal Australians to our great grandmothers used to use traditional animal fats like tallow, for everything from burns and chafing to blisters and wound healing.

And the reason why grass-fed tallow is so amazing for skin?

  1. It really closely mimics fats and oils found naturally in healthy, youthful skin.
  2. It contains fat soluble vitamins A, D, E & K …all of which are crucial for healthy skin (some of these are also antioxidants)
  3. It’s balanced in omega 3’s and 6’s …both are important for healthy skin

So this means grass-fed tallow can help replace missing components in skin’s outer layer …keeping moisture IN and allergens and irritants OUT.

…and means grass-fed tallow can leave skin looking plump, ‘healthy’ and well hydrated (and as an added bonus, help smooth the look of fine lines)

Not only that, as we get older, our skin produces less of those lipids (the fats and oils) that keep it soft, supple and youthful looking.
…so grass-fed tallow is putting back what time takes away.

Like Jane, I have a drive to use natural products on my skin.

My super sensitive skin and skin issues are what led me to developing the Ecology Creams in the first place.
…I’d finally found something that worked well for me and I wanted to share it with others

And because I know how important it can be to try a ‘trial size’ of something before getting a larger size, we’ve put together Trial Packs of our Ecology Creams.

You can now try a 2-pack or 3-pack of our 10mL mini moisturisers from only $18 (so only $9 per moisturiser) …and get free shipping when you use the code: TRIAL at checkout

and see for yourself the difference an Ecology Moisturiser can make for sensitive and problem skin

(this is a great size! It’ll last a couple of weeks, long enough to see the calming effect for yourself)
