Organic Soapberries.

I love these little berries. So easy to use & so many uses. I use the liquid for cleaning the house with & the berries on the sheets & Towels. They leave that clean & fresh smell. Love these berries.

Organic Soapberries.

These are really good. I have washed the sheets & towels with them & love the clean smell & freshness. They aren't the best on the work clothes, but that's ok. It was hard at first working out how long to use them again but i think i will get the hang of it.

Red house organic soapberries

Where I live there isn’t any town water only channel water( river water ),so the water is very hard, the soapberries seam to wash the clothes, sheets, towels ect very well.

I was a little bit sceptical, I must say, before using these but have been very impressed by the results. The washing comes out clean and fresh smelling, much better than the washing power I had been using. Very good and nice to know I am saving the environment as well which is what it's all about :)

Soap berries

I have used them for over a year and love them. We are on tank water and drain onto the garden so no high phosphate run off is great. All recyclable packaging and compostable berries after use can’t be all bad.

These certified organic Soapberries (also called Soap Nuts) make life easier!
They’re a natural alternative to ‘big brand’ laundry detergents, powders and fabric softeners.
And they’re perfect for washing clothing, bedding and towels for babies and anyone with sensitive skin or skin issues

Soapberries are harvested from the Sapindus Mukorossi tree in Nepal.
The shell of the fruit has a high concentration of saponin, which is like a ‘natural soap’ and what gives the soapberries their fantastic cleaning ability.

Product Description:

Simply put 5 soap berry shells in the small cotton wash bag provided and double tie the top.
Pop the bag into your washing machine with a normal load of washing and remove when finished.
Shells can be re-used for around 4-5 wash loads (which works out to be around 20 cents per load)
If you like fragrance, you can add 4-5 drops of 100% essential oil onto your small cotton bag before popping it in the wash.

“My eczema has settled down to nearly nothing…”

I was lucky enough to win a competition recently through Manuka Biotic . Well when this bag of organic Soap Berries arrived we thought let’s give them a try , we washed the bedding , towels and clothes and couldn’t believe how one little berry could wash everything so successfully . As I have very sensitive skin I noticed a difference soon as I used a towel , after a few days of washing my clothing etc my eczema has settled down to nearly nothing and I would think with regular use of these Soap Berries the difference would be incredible . Organic soapberries (also known as Soap Nuts)

To Use:

– Simply put 5 soap berry shells in the small cotton wash bag provided and double tie the top.
– Pop the bag into your washing machine with a normal load of washing and remove when finished.
– Shells can be re-used for around 4-5 wash loads.
– If you like fragrance, you can add 4-5 drops of 100% essential oil onto your small cotton bag before popping it in the wash.
– When finished, shells will be thin and brittle, at which point they can be added to your compost to break down naturally.

– You can also make a multi-purpose liquid by boiling the berries for 15 minutes, and using the liquid for anything, from shampoo to a cleaner.

What is the ideal temperature to use soapberries in the laundry?

Soapberries work in all different temperatures, but if you use hot water, the berries will not last as long. They are just as effective at higher temperatures, but you may need to discard/compost them after 3 washes instead of 5. The saponins are released more effectively in warm water (40 degrees is ideal). Alternatively, if you use them in cold water, they may not activate as quickly as they will in warmer water.
*Handy hint – Soaking your soapberries in hot water for 5 mins prior to a cold wash will soften the shells and activate them.
