Meet Lilly – “I thought I’d have to live with acne for the rest of my life”

Lilly is a 35yr old mother of two who struggled with ‘teenage skin’ for many years, trying all kinds of products and approaches – until she found a trial pack of Ecology Skincare for sensitive skin.
Lilly messaged me a while back to share her before and after photos – here’s Lilly’s story…
“I just had to personally message you, I got the trial little packs to try the beef tallow. And I literally want to cry!
For the first time in years my acne has settled and I barely have any anymore! I still have rosacea but that’s also helped with it!
I have literally tried everything under the sun for my skin! And I can’t believe the results I’m getting from the beef tallow!

Lilly asked how tallow can help acne prone skin…?
Honestly, when it comes to acne and breakouts… everyone’s different and it can really depend on what’s driving the breakouts (especially as there’s a big internal component to breakout prone skin)
Lilly didn’t share with me what she was working on internally, but internal measures like addressing gut health, hormonal imbalances and liver detoxification can make a big difference and can work hand in hand with topical measures.

“We tend to think of breakouts going hand in hand with oily skin – but that’s not always the case. A number of adults with breakouts actually have acne tarda or ‘dry’ acne.
This is where skin is lacking in oils and water.
So when we use those harsher products or treatments to ‘get rid of’ the oil we think is there, we can strip protective oils and lipids from our skin’s outer layer and dry out the skin even more – which sets us up for more breakouts.

The Ecology Creams (including Lilly’s Daily Moisturiser) are made with care by hand with grass-fed tallow – a gently rendered animal fat (like emu oil), but it comes from healthy, grass-fed cows
(so this isn’t for our vegan friends!)
Grass-fed tallow:
1. Contains the same kinds of fats and oils found naturally in healthy, youthful skin.
2. Contains fat soluble vitamins A, D, E & K …all of which are crucial for healthy skin (some of these are also antioxidants)
