These easy-stick BuzzPatch Mosquito Repellent Patches were conceived one summer down on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula in Victoria.
And they’re a great spray-free way to give long lasting 6+ hours protection from mosquitoes – no matter if you’re in the tropics, in the mountains or on the beach.
These insect repellent patches stick to clothing (rather than skin) and they’re non-toxic and DEET free – perfect for those of us with sensitive skin.
The patches are plant based and contain natural citronella essential oil to ‘confuse’ mosquitos and make it harder for them to find you.
..helping you protect your skin and your kids skin naturally from mozzies – while you’re in the garden, catching up with friends and family over a BBQ, hiking, camping, fishing or while the kids are in the playground or at school.

FAQ
Does it really work?
Yes, it really does work.
How do they work?
Mosquitoes find us by sensing the carbon dioxide (CO2) we emit when we exhale. Certain compounds, including specific essential oils, overpower the CO2 we emit, essentially hiding us from mosquitoes.

Kids aged 0-2 need 1: One patch placed centrally on clothes (ie, on their jumpsuit on the stomach, chest)
Kids aged 3-5 need 2: One patch on the top clothes (sweater, t-shirt) and one on the shorts.
Kids aged 6+ and parents need 2-4 patches: One patch on the clothing next to each exposed limb (one on the sleeve of both the left and right arm, and if wearing shorts, one on the left and right side of the shorts)
Where can I stick them?
We recommend placing BuzzPatch on your outer clothes, nearest to your chest, arms, and legs.

Is it safe?
BuzzPatch contains undiluted essential oils on non-woven fabric and is safe to wear on the outer clothing. It is not intended to be placed directly on the skin. How does it compare to other mosquito repellents (how does it compare to DEET)?
Most spray on insect repellents contain a chemical called DEET, which is controversially known to be the most effective compound in protecting against mosquitoes – but carries risks.
DEET is a synthetic compound and is very controversial in terms of its toxicity (it can melt plastic at high doses).
According to ScientificAmerican, the side effects of DEET may include rashes, skin irritation, numb or burning lips, nausea, headaches, dizziness and difficulty concentrating.
Duke University pharmacologist Mohamed Abou-Donia, in studies on rats, found that frequent and prolonged DEET exposure led to diffuse brain cell death and behavioural changes, and concluded that humans should stay away from products containing it.
Can I put them on my skin?
BuzzPatch is designed to be placed on the outer clothing and not to be placed directly on skin for prolonged periods.
